Notifications and Email Preferences
Searcher OS keeps you posted two ways: in-app notifications you read inside the app, and emails you can tune to your taste. Here's how both work and how to control them.
The Notification Bell
The bell sits in the top bar of every page. When you have something unread, a small red badge shows the count.
- The badge counts your unread notifications. Once you pass 9, it shows 9+ to keep things tidy.
- Click the bell to open a quick panel with your 5 most recent notifications.
- Opening that panel marks everything as read, so the red badge clears the moment you look.
- If your deal associate has 3 or more approvals waiting, they're grouped into a single line that links straight to the Agent page.
The Notifications Center
Need the full history? Click View all notifications at the bottom of the bell panel to open your notifications center.
Here you'll see your complete list. Each entry shows:
- An icon and color that tells you the type at a glance
- A title, a short description, and how long ago it arrived
- A highlight and a blue dot while it's still unread, so new items stand out
Click any notification to mark it read. If it's tied to a deal, a CIM, or an agent task, the click takes you right there. To clear everything at once, use the Mark all read button at the top of the list.
What You'll Be Notified About
Notifications are grouped into a handful of categories. Here's what each one covers.
Activity
Nudges when you've been quiet for a while, a streak is at risk, or a midweek check-in is due.
CIM
When a CIM analysis finishes processing, or if processing runs into a problem.
Communication
When a forwarded broker email lands in your inbox, or your email filters get set up.
Agent (Mark)
When your deal associate needs your approval, receives an NDA or CIM, has a draft ready, or hits a task it can't finish on its own.
Account
Trial reminders, payment problems, and subscription changes. These are essential, so they're always on.
Email Preferences
Open Settings, then Notifications to decide which emails you get. Here's each control.
Enable email notifications
The master switch. Turn this off and every non-essential email stops, no matter how the toggles below are set. Turn it back on to use those toggles again.
Buy box deal digest
A roundup of new deals matching your buy box. Pick the cadence that fits you:
- Weekly: the week's new matches, Sunday mornings. This is the recommended default.
- Daily: every morning at 9 AM ET. Higher volume, best if you're actively in market.
If a few digests in a row go unread, we'll pause them automatically and show a banner on this page. Flip the toggle back on whenever you want them again.
CIM analysis PDF
Emails you a PDF of the analysis when a CIM finishes processing or gets re-analyzed.
Announcements, tips & engagement emails
Product updates, search tips, and educational content. Toggle these off if you'd rather skip them.
Billing & account updates
Trial reminders, payment issues, and subscription changes. These stay on so you never miss something that affects your access.
Change any of these and click Save Preferences to apply them.
Turning Email Notifications On or Off
Want fewer emails? You have two levels of control.
- Turn off everything: switch off Enable email notifications at the top. That mutes all non-essential email in one move.
- Turn off one kind: leave the master switch on and toggle off just the digest, CIM PDF, or marketing emails you don't want.
Billing and account emails always send, even with the master switch off, because they affect your subscription and access. In-app notifications keep working too, so you can quiet your inbox without losing track of what's happening in your account.
