    Getting Started with Searcher OS

Welcome! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and finding your first deals.

A full 30-minute walkthrough of how to get the most out of Searcher OS: buy boxes, the deal feed, AI analysis, and your pipeline. Prefer to read? The steps below cover the essentials.

    1

    Complete Your Profile

After signing up, you'll be prompted to complete your profile. This helps us personalize your experience.

    • Full name and location
    • About you (a short bio used in broker outreach and NDA emails)
    2

    Define Your Buy Box

Your Buy Box is your acquisition criteria. Deals matching these filters will appear in your feed.

    • Price Range: Min/max asking price (e.g., $800K - $5M)
    • Cash Flow Range: Target SDE / cash flow (min and max)
    • Locations: States or metro areas
    • Industries: Preferred / target sectors
    3

    Review Your Deal Feed

Head to the Deal Feed to see listings matching your criteria. Start triaging deals.

For each deal, you have two primary actions plus an optional one:

    • Save: Move it to your pipeline for further review
    • Archive: Dismiss a deal you're not interested in. One click, no reason required, and you can restore archived deals later.
    • Ask Mark (optional): Save the deal and ask Mark to request the CIM for you.

Deals you neither save nor archive simply stay in your feed.

    4

    Manage Your Pipeline

Saved deals appear in your Pipeline. Move them through stages as you progress.

    Standard Pipeline Stages:

    1. Interested
    2. NDA Signed
    3. CIM Review
    4. Conversations
    5. LOI
    6. Due Diligence
    7. Closed
    8. Dead

Moving a deal to Dead asks you for a kill reason, so you can track why deals fell through.

    5

    Upload and Analyze CIMs

When you receive a CIM, upload it for AI-powered analysis.

    The CIM analyzer extracts:

    • Revenue, EBITDA, and SDE
    • Location and employee count
    • Key risks and opportunities
    • Financial trends and ratios
