MCP Connection
Connect your AI assistant to your deal data using Model Context Protocol (MCP). Ask questions about your pipeline, run calculations, and analyze deals, all through a conversation.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect directly to your Searcher OS data. Instead of copy-pasting financials into a chat window, your AI can read your pipeline, pull deal details, and run calculations on its own.
You see your dashboard. Your AI sees the same data through a structured interface. Two views of the same system.
Compatible AI Tools
Claude
by Anthropic. Deepest native MCP support.
ChatGPT
by OpenAI. Supports MCP connections.
Cursor
AI code editor with MCP support.
OpenClaw
Purpose-built MCP power client.
MCP is an open protocol. Any MCP-compatible client can connect to Searcher OS.
Getting Connected
Most clients (Claude, ChatGPT) use a one-click browser login, no API key, no config files. The full setup snippets for every supported tool live in Settings → LLM Connect → Setup.
Open Settings → LLM Connect
In your Searcher OS dashboard, navigate to Settings → LLM Connect. The Setup tab has copy-ready instructions for every supported AI tool, including the server URL you'll paste into your AI client.
LLM Connect is available on the Searcher and Deal Team plans. If you don't see the LLM Connect tab, upgrade your plan in Settings → Billing.
Add Searcher OS to Your AI Client
Paste the Searcher OS server URL into your AI client and approve the login. The login flow handles authentication for you, no API key copy/paste needed for Claude or ChatGPT.
Claude Desktop
- Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
- Paste the Searcher OS server URL (from LLM Connect → Setup)
- Click Connect and sign in with your Searcher OS account
ChatGPT (Plus / Pro / Team / Business / Enterprise)
- Enable Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode
- Settings → Apps → Create, name it “Searcher OS”, paste the server URL
- Choose OAuth for authentication and sign in
OpenClaw / Cursor / headless clients
These use an API key instead of browser login. Generate one in LLM Connect → Setup → Advanced: API Key, then paste it into your client's config. The Deal Team plan includes an OpenClaw Self-Serve Launch Kit.
Start Asking Questions
Once connected, your AI has access to your deal data. Try asking:
- "Show me my pipeline, anything stale?"
- "Run the DSCR on that HVAC deal at the asking price"
- "Compare my top 3 deals by SDE multiple"
- "What new deals came in today?"
- "Draft a follow-up email for the broker on the plumbing company"
What Your AI Can Access
Your AI sees the same data you see in your dashboard, scoped to your account:
- Deal Feed: Search on-market deals matching your buy boxes
- Pipeline: Stage, days in stage, notes, activity history
- CIM Analysis: AI-extracted financials, risk flags, highlights
- Calculators: SBA loan models, DSCR calculations
- Broker Contacts: Interaction history, contact details
- Buy Box Criteria: Your active filters and preferences
- Email Inbox: Inbound broker emails and matching
Security and Privacy
- Authenticated per-user: Each connection is tied to your account. No one else's AI can access your data.
- You control access: Your active connection is shown in Settings → LLM Connect with a Disconnect button to revoke access instantly.
- Actions require confirmation: Write actions like moving a deal to a new stage or killing a deal require your approval before executing.
- Data stays in your account: MCP defines how AI tools query your data, it does not copy your pipeline to a third party.
Common Questions
Which plans include MCP Connection?
MCP Connection is available on the Searcher and Deal Team plans. The Deal Team plan also includes the OpenClaw Self-Serve Launch Kit.
Do I need to be technical to use this?
No. For Claude and ChatGPT you just paste the Searcher OS server URL into your AI client and approve the browser login, no code, no terminal, no config files. After that, it's a conversation. (Headless or API-only clients like OpenClaw still use an API key, generate one from LLM Connect → Setup → Advanced.)
Can my AI accidentally delete or change my data?
State-changing actions like moving a deal to a new stage or killing a deal require your explicit confirmation before they execute. You stay in control.
Can I use multiple AI tools at once?
Yes. Each AI tool gets its own connection (via login or API key) tied to your Searcher OS account. You can use Claude on your phone and OpenClaw on your desktop at the same time. Settings → LLM Connect shows your active connection and a Disconnect button to revoke access.
