How Metrics Work
Your accountability metrics are designed to track meaningful acquisition activities. Each metric is tied to specific actions in the platform, so there's no manual entry required.
The Five Core Metrics
Deals Reviewed
Counts each time you triage a deal from your feed. This happens when you:
- Save a deal to your pipeline
- Archive a deal (with a kill reason)
- Dismiss a deal from your feed
Note: Deals added directly to your pipeline (not via the feed) are not counted here.
CIMs Reviewed
Counts when you review a CIM (Confidential Information Memorandum). This happens when:
- CIM analysis completes (automatically counted)
- The "Analyze CIM" task is completed
- Deal advances past CIM Review stage
This metric tracks that you've actually reviewed the CIM material, not just requested it.
Broker Calls
Counts phone calls or meetings with brokers. This happens when you:
- Log a call or meeting with a broker selected
Use the "Log Activity" button on any deal to record a call or meeting.
Seller Calls
Counts phone calls or meetings logged against an Owner-type contact. This happens when you:
- Log a call or meeting with a seller/owner contact selected
LOIs Sent
Counts Letter of Intent submissions. This happens when:
- A deal moves to the LOI Sent pipeline stage
Weekly Targets
By default, Searcher OS sets weekly targets for each metric. You can customize these targets in Settings → Activity Goals. The scoreboard shows your progress against these targets.
Streaks
Maintain a streak by meeting ALL of your weekly targets. A week counts toward your streak only when every metric you've set a target for is hit. Metrics with a target of 0 are automatically satisfied. Streaks help you build consistent acquisition habits.
Your streak resets the first week you miss any of your weekly targets. Missing even one target ends the current streak.
