Understanding the Deal Feed
The Deal Feed is your personalized stream of business opportunities. Each deal shown matches your Buy Box criteria - the price range, industries, and locations you're actively looking for.
The Triage Workflow
The goal of the deal feed is speed to no. Quickly evaluate deals and move them out of your feed - either to your pipeline (if interested) or dismissed (if not). Don't let deals pile up!
The Deal Actions
Each deal card has two main actions, plus an optional one when Mark is available:
Save to Pipeline
Click the heart icon to move the deal into your private pipeline for further evaluation. This is the first step toward acquiring the business.
- Deal appears in your Pipeline view
- Added to "Interested" stage by default
- You can add private notes
Not interested
Click the thumbs-down icon when you're not interested in a deal. It opens a "Dismiss Deal" window where you pick a reason for passing, then removes the deal from your feed.
- A dismiss reason is required
- Tracks patterns in what you reject
- Useful for refining your Buy Box
Tip: After dismissing several deals, review your dismiss reason distribution to spot patterns.
Ask Mark (optional)
When Mark is available for a deal, a robot icon appears. It saves the deal to your pipeline and asks Mark to request the CIM from the broker on your behalf.
- Saves the deal to your pipeline
- Kicks off the broker outreach for you
Buy Box Matching
By default, deals in your feed are filtered by your Buy Box criteria, so a deal must match at least one of your active Buy Boxes to appear. On paid plans you can switch to Global Search to browse every listing regardless of Buy Box match.
Your Buy Box settings include:
- Price Range: Minimum and maximum asking price
- EBITDA Range: Target profitability (SDE for smaller businesses)
- Locations: States or metro areas you prefer
- Industries: Business types you're interested in
You can have up to 3 Buy Boxes. Learn more about Buy Boxes.
Feed Filters
The filter bar above your feed gives you these controls:
- Buy Box: Choose which Buy Box drives the feed (or Global Search on paid plans)
- Keyword Search: Match deals by keyword in the listing
- Freshness: Limit results by recency - 24 Hours, 7 Days, 30 Days, 90 Days, or All Time
- Sort: Order by newest, price, EBITDA, revenue, or metro
The More filters button opens advanced options, including price, revenue, EBITDA, margin, multiple, industries, states and metros, sources, and brokers.
